hoo.. this was definatly a close one.. i literally submitted my photo within seconds of the contest closing.. darn superbowl taking up all my night, i got here 15 mins before the contest ended. I knew what i wanted to take a pic of, but my friends dragged me to the bar at 4 pm to get a good seat for the show :).. I think during my rush i accidentally made my pic have lower quality :( oh well, it's not too noticable.. but i didn't have time to make any adjustments to it, so it's basically a pic straight out of the cam :P .. i forget if i even had time to update my entry with the ISO, shutter, etc info.. well, if i didn't i guess i'll add it as a comment :)

Lucky bastard! I did the same thing but MISSED the deadline by about 5 seconds! I'll post my pic later. I had already submitted to the members challenge so it's not a total loss...

I submitted a photo in plenty of time for the motion challenge and was happy with my entry. My wife convinced me at the last minute that she liked another photo better. I deleted my first selection, clicked on the submissions page, entered my data for the second image and nervously clicked the submit button knowing it was very close to the deadline. Instead of the new page loading with my submission acknowledged and a 'click here' to see my image, the Site Down for Maintenance window came up. I literally missed it by seconds. Never again will I try to change submissions at the last minute. Give me three or four minutes and maybe....

This shouldn't happen any more because you don't have to delete one photo before submitting another. You just change the photo and details as though you were editting the info for a photo, then click the button to make changes. If the site goes down, your old entry should still be there.
