Was creeping up toward 6 (after starting with a 2 vote 8, 3 vote 7) at 5.96 and is now back down to the 5.8s again.

I expect a few photo's in the 7's, mines low but I expected that, and just as well I couldn't compete with the real thing!

I think you got my extra point then... I'm clinging to a 5.75-ish... Made 5.96 and thought for sure 6+ was a definite... but nope.

I really don't get how anyone can vote an image that meets the challenge and is clear and sharp lower than a 6 (since 5.5 is the average). But I don't hold much stock in the voting acumen of people... be it here on in US elections.

I will defend anyone's right to vote to whatever scale they see fit, regardless of whether I agree with the actual number or not! Leave off.

Having said that, I have completed voting on this challenge and have, once again, restricted my voting scale to 8, 9 or 10 (are you going to complain about THAT???)

Average means different things to different people and we most certainly do not share the same taste. I have know people here who most would consider "low ballers" but they seemingly vote the same way regardless of the challenge.

I have managed to solve my problems regarding score expectations... I simply turned them off and wait till the turnover to see what the voting public thought of my image.
