I have shadows caused by neighboring trees onto the snow. Can they be cloned out and keep with the advanced rule set?
The rules allow color changes so aren't you in effect just changing the color? |

Make them darker, not lighter. |

Myabe she means to make them an even more dramatic element? As far as the cloning goes, it depends pretty much entirely on the extent of the shadows. A few tree-top shadows on the edge of the frame, sure. LONGGGG shadows in lines across the snow, no way. |

I don't think you can clone them out, legally. But... silly me, I enjoy shadows... I figure if you can't get rid of them, go with it and make them stand out more. Of course, I haven't seen your photo so I really should have stayed quiet. Sorry. |

No, don't stay quiet, I respect your opinion. I just wondered what you meant. But that's what I thought you meant. I'll look at the picture again and see if that works here. Thanks Penny |

One thing one of the SC members said was if you can't see it in the thumbnail, then it should be ok to clone out. That's generally what I go by when cloning things out. But of course, do this at your own risk. |
