That's sad news. It looks so much better. Tried it for a (too) short time.

My user experience: much better look and better readable. Perhaps you should make the "Select your website link" defaults to "DPC" instead of "none". It's easily missed when you're entering.

Are you talking about the blue color? I also rather left "none" as default so not everyone would look like from DPC and linked to nowhere !

Today at Noon NY (server) time and 9 am LA time... Very first public meeting with the SCs and there might not be another one.

Be a part of this historical event!

People started show up... If you log in early, you can sit closer to the podium... virtually that is!

Leo needs to clean it up a bit and then he'll post it - (he removes the silly join/leave notices and other announcements)..

I thought it was a nice discussion... I wouldn't have minded seeing the moderated portion lasting a little longer, like maybe an hour.

And bagels would have been nice.

To be honest I found it hard to follow without the aid of political cartoons.

It was a very smooth and positive meeting. If you missed it, here is the link for the transcript. I couldn't post it here, because it is very long... but here is a little hint what went on:

...
Cory: A question from Venser: what motivates them to continue this thankless job when site̢۪s losing 30% membership in last year?
scalvert > We volunteered to help. It's the same motivation as Bear or Leo's efforts in the forums.
frisca > What scalvert said. Plus I think DPC is still valuable.
justine > I stay because I love DPC simple as that and I don't think it's dead just a bit sick.
Neil > SC executive bathrooms and trips to the Bahamas
Manic > neil: sssh! :)
alanfreed > Not to make light of the subject, but a 30% decrease in membership makes it 30% easier to patrol the site ;)
Cory: ROFL. I knew it was the bathrooms... Those'll do it every time.
Cory: I think it's apparent that you all still have a lot of love for DPC
GeneralE > Mostly it's the community ... the chance to communicate with people all around the world with a common interest, but widely different views
scalvert > Membership isn't down. We're just way more efficient at banning people.

...

It was a record crowd for the Chat Room with 30 people at once for a while!

It sure went very well for all. Website did not have a glitch! and the best part is, we might repeat this, probably 4 times a year... so , if you couldn't make it to this one, you should try for the next one!

Interesting, so reading between the lines Venser will make a new site, we will all join that and live happily ever after.

Sounds good to me.
