I'm still a bit lost. If I scan on old photo of myself then take a recent shot of myself (within the challenge timeframe) and photoshop my recent self into the old scanned image is that legal?
I'm all for a less complicated LEGAL way to do this if anyone knows. |

That's what I wanted to say: we are supposed to photoshop ourselves in an old photo - how can it be legal? The prominent part of the photo will always be the old one. Of course we can photoshop everything, but it's far from the original spirit of the challenge. |

Can't you photoshop your old self into a new photo? Then the new photo will be prominent. |

The original post showed the opposite. |

Again...it says pretty plainly in the challenge descrip that either is acceptable. I'm not going to bother reposting it, it's about halfway down this page.
Have to admit that that point is my only issue with this challenge. I love my mum, and now she knows all about composition, lighting etc (she's an awesome watercolourist)....but back in the 70s she didn't know anything about such principles and it shows.
So either I work from one of the best shots of me as a kid where mum was the 'tog - meaning that the comp is only OK, and she hasn't chopped off the top of my head or feet - and put myself in. Or conversely, take a better pic and then PS in an old pic of me.
I'll probably do both more for the practice than anything else, and might enter the challenge. We'll see.

I've included an extra rule: "You may include a photo of yourself in a separate scene taken in the past by either yourself or someone else. This can be done in-camera or in post-processing."
Hopefully this covers all the bases. |

More votes and Langdon more actively following the forums, that's great. Thanks man! |

ONE more question. Sorry if it is answered or obvious but it seems like, from this description,
"This week, go back in time and visit your childhood self, or perhaps have them warped into a future scene with you!"
-that we can photoshop ourselves into an old photo, or our old self into a new one... either is fair game? |

Both of those options are fine. |

Seven entries with less than a day and a half to go. This one should be quick to vote on. |

I'm having problems finding childhood photos. I only have about 6, and none of them are very inspiring. :(
The sad thing is that there are a couple I remember that would be awesome, but don't have.

I have some childhood photos. I just lack the skill to do this challenge. |

Ditto. This is much harder than it seems. I had fun trying, but I am going to sit this one out. |
