What I want (which I thought was easy but never tried this scenario) :-
* Longish exposure - say 10-20 seconds
* Pop of flash at the start
* ISO & Ap don't matter other than the power of flash is what I want for the Ap to get foreground subject..
* I want to expose the foreground subject with flash and let the background burn in (lights in back).
What I have :-
Manual Canon 5D2 - Cyber radio Trigger - Einstein AB flash (manual obviously).
What I see :-
* Flash fires on curtain open as you would expect for a Canon.
* Works fine for 8 seconds or less but once I go to 10 seconds... the flash fires again at the end.
* Didn't play too much but SEEMS to be hitting again on 2nd curtain (canons cannot do 2nd on manual trigger). I should try 30 seconds and see if it's after 10 ish or waits to the end but wanted to get it done.
What Gives?????
* Why would the flash fire again after 8 seconds?
* I just took the trigger off the camera and did it with the test button but trying to understand what I don't understand here??
* Clearly I assume it's user error instead of some hardware issue but I'm lost what it is.

I can check and verify but I'm almost positive I don't have that issue with cybersyncs and my Nikon... I'm not sure what to tell you. |
