Good day one and all! I hope this little note finds you in great health and happiness and that you are living the life of your dreams!
If not, than I would encourage you to do what you can to make changes right now so that the above statement applies to you.
Why? Because life is short and at any moment you could find yourself in a situation where making changes is no longer an option for you. At any moment, you could find yourself at the end of your journey on this planet.
If that moment happened to be right now, how would you feel? Would you look back with satisfaction and gratitude?
Or would you look back with regret, wondering âwhat ifâ?
Today and everyday for the rest of your life remember to live your life to the fullest. Tell your loved ones how much you care. Start that new photo project, that new book, or that new painting that youâve been putting off. Lend a helping hand. Smile at a total stranger and smile at your friends and family. Give thanks every morning for the new day â realize itâs potential! And give thanks every night for the day you got the opportunity to enjoy. Live a life of gratitude!
And when life gets hard, as it sometimes can â remember to give thanks anyway. You will learn something valuable from your troubling experiences. You can use that knowledge to help someone else. When youâre tempted to start bitching, stop and think. Is it really that important? Think about itâ¦
Live a life of gratitude!
No, this isnât some âPolly Annaâ keep a positive attitude no matter what speech. This is a reminder to keep it real.
And why am I making this suggestion?
Tomorrow is the anniversary of 9/11.
Live a life of gratitude as a tribute to those who lost their lives, to those who lost people they loved, to those who have found the courage to continue on, and to those who could not.

How very, very true...and important.
My 19 yr old son wants to get his first tattoo. An hourglass to make him think of how short life is, and is constantly ticking away.
I think that this is something people need to be reminded of and think about sometimes more often than we do. Thank-you.

No, thank you, Taterbug! I posted this this morning and while I am NOT looking for any recognition, it seemed that more people were interested in discussing everything else but this. I don't think we even need to discuss it. I just think we need to remember - there are so many people who lost people so dear to them in the 9/11 tragedy. |

My thoughts are very much with those that lost so much on that sad day. Me and mine will be with them in our thoughts and prayers during the next couple of days.

I cannot come up with appropriate words to express all that my family and I feel about that day. Our thoughts and prayers are also with those who lost so much that day (and since then). I know my children were affected deeply and profoundly. From my youngest son......

I would also like to add to your thoughts the people who lost their lives in the Bali bombing and the recent tragedy in Jakarta. Life is indeed short and I hope all of your lives will be meaningful to you and your family. Those immortal words "Lest we forget" now have a modern relevance not only to veterans but to every day people doing everyday things.
