Making a print of this for my Mother who has never met her grand daughter yet. What would you suggest? I thought colour because its more real but the photographer in me is calling for the B&W image. my mother is 72 years young.
Thanx for any help in advance

Beautiful young daughter your have. You can send anyone and it would make grandmother proud. In this situation the colored one IMO would be better since it will be the first time she sees her grandchild.
Just my 2 Cents.

I would send her the colour image. Not only because it is the first time she will see your grandmother but also because it is a beautiful image. The colours work brilliantly in this image. I love the composition too. |

Hi Marac,
I have to agree with Scott here.
As much I love B & W, the color version may be better suited and has a little more "life" in it.
I think it would add the character needed in a first shot sent.

Hi there,
Beautiful pictures! both the color and the b/w.
I have another suggestion though, regarding sending mom.
It doesn't matter which of those two you send, none of them is the kind you might send a grandmother who never saw her grandchild before.
They are BEAUTIFUL artistically, but the kind you should send to grandmother should be more "ordinary". they should simply be of a child smiles at the camera.
I suggest that you send her several 4x6 (or bigger :-) "ordinary" photos of your child, and the one below - enlarge it and send each one YOU favour most.
Personally - I prefer the color, but I believe that when sending something of SUCH importance - you should pick the one YOU personaly prefer.
But that's just me...

Hi a sweet child! Her expression is fantastic! I would say the coloured one, the colours in her clothes and hat really encompass her features, a cheeky, sweety :)
nice pics btw!

WOW thank you for the response and they kind words you all said about my daughter. Yes, she is very naughty for a young lady. I think I would like to send her many pictures of her instead of selecting my favorite shot, it may not be the favorite choice of my mother so its a good idea to send a few images..
Thank you all for the input
