is that supposed to be what they'd look like today, or just older than when they died? pretty darn cartoonish - like someone had a real heavy liquefy finger or something. interesting idea though. maybe the milk carton artist should take a stab at it ;-)

In my view most of them are poorly done. |

What they'd look like today, supposedly. But I'm not exactly blown away by the PS work either. Guess they didn't bother to use an actual photoageing artist :-/ |

These are horrible. They look like something I would do. :)
Besides, I don't think they took plastic surgery into account. :) |

Fascinating in a morbid sort of way, but very poorly done. Kind of revolting, actually. It's disappointing, because there are legitimate "aging artists" out there, as Snaffles mentioned; they are used, for example, in trying to "age" missing people to help find them years (or decades) later, and for various other forensic uses. There's "reverse aging" as well, working from photographs to determine what someone USED to look like. And of course, working from bones to flesh out an unidentified corpse, or a fossil. And so forth and so on.
THIS is just a hack-job. The Janis Joplin isn't too bad: she looks human at least, not like some vile, human-imitating, shape-morphing alien creature out to subsume us all :-). |
