Anyone willing to drop the science on how to use one? I don't know why, but all my photos looks like crap using one.

Which filter on which lens?

It's a r2 filter than I'm using on my 18-55mm lens.

Any examples? Did you compensate by adding EV? Most filters require some addition light to get into the lens.

I just took some shots outside and it probably was due to the lack of light that was causing my problems.
