Hi everyone, my name is Ron and I'm a new member here.
A friend of mine, (Trotterjay)told me about this site and how much he enjoys it.
After viewing some member photos and checking out the challenges, I can see why he likes it so much.

Welcome, Ron. Here's your first piece of advice: listen to  GeneralE, and make sure your camera settings are correct!!!!
And the second piece of advice: DON'T ALTER OR DELETE YOUR ORIGINAL IMAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most DQs are because the winners failed to provide an valid (unaltered) original :) |

Welcome Ron. Please note, quite a few entries are disqualified because you don't have the unaltered original. Many file transfer programs alter the pic without you knowing it. The safe way to get the pic to your computer is to drag from your camera or memory card directly to your computer. Then copy the file to a separate file which you use to modify and prepare to enter the contests.

Pull up a chair, and stay awhile! There is a whole selection of mixed nuts around here. It's kinda like a box of chocolates, ya never know what you will get!
This is a WONDERFUL place to watch and learn! Shoot and learn! I wanna see your pix's!! You can upload to your portfolio anyting you want... so hurry do that now, cause if you are really good, I will talk bad about you ah err I mean Enjoy seeing your work....
