The problem with stars is that we have full moon this week, otherwise IMO is not boring :)

Well, my stars are not up in the sky... and if you check out the first one, I think there is a big potential to come up with all kinds of stars!

Yup. Was thinking the saaaaaaaaaaaaame thing.

Oh well, doesn't make it impossible, just means you need to keep even MORE ridiculous hours :)

Reminder to read the challenge description. It specifically states that not all stars are in the sky.

Yes, I read it, but it doesn't say - don't take a photograph of the stars in the sky, so it could be a good chance for a night shot.

I really don't understand the affection and obsession people have with tattoo's these days, why spoil your skin like that, I see NO beauty in them, and I'm not apoligizing, to anyone, nope no-one!!

A week or so ago, I was waiting in line in a store behind a couple. The woman was in a shortsleeved dress and had some truly picturesque stars tattooed on her upper arms, disappearing into her top. Taken aback at their beauty (after having seen elsewhere much muddy work that IMO wasn't beautiful) I exclaimed over them. This started a conversation, and then her partner, who had been listening, shared the fact that he had matching stars on his upper arms and back.

Frankly? It was enchanting. They were so in tune with each other and pleased with what they had done.

Not my personal embellishment desire, but for those who wish to do it? Why not!

I'll end with suggesting a read of "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Heinleim. He went into this subject at great length a long time ago.

I didn't get tattoos until this past year. I think tattoo artists have reaaaaaally stepped up their game. It has become an ART. To me, it is SO not the cheesy stuff it used to be. Check out my pinterest tattoo page for a few examples:

You're a photographer! You create art! You really don't see the art in it??
12/18/2013 11:21:37 PM · #21
Maybe let it marinate for a bit (more than the 3 minutes it took to look at the examples, analyze, make a decision and respond), and see what happens ;)

Nope, believe it or not I don't think everything is art!

Some things I will not budge with, call me stubborn, that's ok I don't mind :)

Thanks for posting that link. I saw a little Kandinski look-alike work in there. (I happen to be very fond of Kandinski) Nice series.

so, now you have two viewpoints on tattoos. It'll be interesting to see what others have to say.

Oh really? I think I would budge on most things. I'm different I guess. I assume my perceptions are likely mostly incorrect (just like I think most people's perceptions are) and I think I could stand to open my mind to something I think is weird or strange. I usually think I'm probably missing something. The world is just too big and strange and awesome for me to have it all figured out.

I think those are Kandinski replicas! Beautiful, right?? Truly amazing what they're doing these days.
