Took my son to the Bird sanctuary tonight on the way home from a hospital visit. Took my 400MM F2.8 a 1.4X TC and my D4 along. Found out that I may have been over "lensed" so I shot some tight portraits instead.

WOW! Those are all fabulous. (Now go and shoot some dogs' bodies and you'll have Dirds in the bag.)

LOL I'll leave the Dirds to the photoshop wizards. I do look forward to seeing what the other have created though.

Aw, c'mon Matt, those birds are just *begging* for some dog heads, LOL!

Seriously, though, some really beautiful bird portraits. I like the close-in treatment.

Thanks Fritz, if I would have had a chance to take a photo of the dog I might have tried. But It's dark when I leave in the morning, and dark when I get home. I'll leave it up to the others to have their Expert editing fun!

Those are working really well. You can shoot the dog on the weekend. It's not due til next Thursday. The photoshopping on this particular challenge doesn't have to be hard to do... I say go with the owl, it even has ears :-)
