 You can sync a flash up to 1/1600 shutter speed - even with a large umbrella I was able to absolutely murder the sun with a single speedlight.
 
 I'm astonished.

		| | Just a slave, turns out the Yongnuo 560's are sensitive enough to pick up on a hit from the little flash even on a sunlit day. |

 BTW my G15 I believe with sync at 1/2500 or faster with my pocketwizards and studio strobes. It has a hotshoe...  :D
