Mmmm...cake...haven't had my birthday cake yet...what's up with that?! And for those unfamiliar with Worth100, aka Worth1K, it is a site devoted to pulling off stunning works of PhotoChop within, oh....48 hrs or so. Yeah. Two days. Mind there is also a section devoted to photography, with themes etc similar to challenges here.

But I've seen absolutely stunning works on there. Good enough that even our beloved PhotoChop master, gyaban, wouldn't be able to rest on his laurels if put against that site's heavy hitters.

Christophe has already said that that kind of contests wouldn't be very interesting for him. While there are a few nice creations there, photoshopping Britney Spears or some other famous people is not so creative :)

Not really a big fan of that style of art.
But
I wonder if any of Worth1000's "heavy hitters" could hold a candle to gyaban under DPC rules. I doubt it..

They point is that most of them use stock photos... it's not the same thing when you have to take the necessary photos - so I agree with you :)

Agreed. In here, we do PHOTOGRAPHY. THen sometimes we edit it without much restriction, but it's still our own photography we started with. There are LOTS of really good photoshop technicians out there, many of whom earn a lot of money plying their trade, but they're mostly not "photographers"...

Point taken. I had forgotten that on Worth1K you can use any image you want, you certainly aren't required to shoot the images and then PC em. Apologies to gyaban!

I got a podium there using one of my highest rated DPC images... and it was Advanced Editing ^_^
