Forgive me if this is a dumb question. I have just signed up and have been uploading images into my portfolio. The file transfer is OK, but I have several thumbnails not showing up (you can only see them if you click on the file name). Is there a correct procedure to have all the images show up on the thumbnail portfolio page?

I only see 5 thumbnails. The sidebar says there should be 6. Are you entered in one of the challenges currently being voted on? This would explain why the sixth is missing. Only you can see that one.
