Relistic Colorized Historical Photo's

Iconic B&W Photo's Restored

I find it interesting that even though I see these in Color I can still see them in my minds eye in B&W....

Albert Einstein's shoes still crack me up, every time I see them.

Probably the very first picture on the Iconic site always makes me hold my breath...I see sooooo much in that photograph.

Some look nice colorized, but I think some of them are iconic because they are black & white. For example, the Iwo Jima & Hindenberg shots just look completely wrong in color.

Is 1991/95 old enough to be "historic"? My only attempt, probably done with Photoshop 3 (the first version with layers), though I'd been using it at work since version 2.0. The original is from a B&W print shot (I think) in 1991 ... there was "some editing" in addition to colorization ... ;-)
