My neighbor lost several cows to lightning. They were seeking shelter under a tree.

He had insurance, but they only paid him for the cows he had bought none that had been born by his cows. go figure

Yes, I also have seen cows dead in farm pastures due to lightning strikes

It figures that Zeus would be the authority on lightning strikes. Any of you ever find a fulgurite around those strikes?

I don't know about lightning striking cows, but I know that yesterday some poor misfortunate cows got zapped grazing next to a power transformer that blew up near where I live!
