| Well, remember that Costco is ostensibly a wholesaler, and that at least some of those goods are being bought by small retailers for re-sale, and they need some lead time ... and if you're an individual/family buying that stuff it probably means you have a really big list and need to get started early (a lot of what they're selling is bulk-packed cards and ribbon). |

Yup, try buying a bathing suit in August there. It can't be done, buy you can buy ski gloves. Costco sells stuff about 2 months ahead of anticipated retail demand.

Bear, i had the same thought after seeing the entries and then the extension (assuming we both spotted the same ribbon winner)... but in my case i didn't think i could muster a good competitor, so i just tinkered with my original entry a little.

Just my opinion, but I think it's poor form to have changed your entry if you had already received votes on it.

| My score of 4.000 with one vote moved to a 6.5 with 9 votes and now to a 5.7 with 14 votes. Very mixed reviews. |

That's not fair when you don't know if they were trying to make that change in the first place and got locked out. Many people put in an entry, and then go back and update it later. People shouldn't have to be penalized for getting stuck with a place holder when the expected to be able to update that before rollover.

People shouldn't have to be penalized for getting stuck with a place holder when the expected to be able to update that before rollover. |
