There are ELEVEN photo contests at the proofpositive.com site that expire in September.
Some of these are really fabulous with LOADS of really great prizes. And many of the contests have multiple entry categories and themes. Check though your photos and see if YOU have that winning photo.
Many of the photos I see in this forum are on par with previous winners of these contests ... so don't be shy!!
Here are a few of the best:
Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) 2004
This contest has unbelievable travel prizes
Image International 2004 Photography Contest
Over $40,000 in prizes
KODAK Colors of Life photo contest
Cash prizes
Canadian Geographic's 20th Annual Photo Contest
Great vacation package.
Check them all out and more ... at
//proofpositive.com/contests/photocontests.htm
AND .... please let me know if you know of any contests I should be listing.
Good luck!!

Yes ... definitely an opportunity for the Masters ... AND there are also some really silly contests aimed at amateurs and everything in between.
My favorite silly one is the PUCKER UP FOR PICKLE Photo Contest which involves a little photo talent ... but lots of luck in getting a great pickle pucker photo of your kid eating sour pickles.

Thanks for posting this! I am interested in entering some photo contests!
What do you think of this for one of the landscape contests?

Hi,
Don't think I'm qualified to advise to enter your shot or not, but my personal opinion is I think it's an excellent shot. I think you got the driftwood just right! The colors are really wonderful, but what really caught my attention in this shot is the shoreline - looks almost like someone painted it to me. Best of luck if you do enter it into a contest:)
P.s. wouldn't it be great if we had a resource to advise us on contest entries (contests outside of dpc challenges)? I'm thinking of entering more contests but the entry fees can really add up. I would love it if there would a thread devoted to the "dpc masters" voting just "yes" or "no" on whether we should enter a photo or not (with no feedback from photographer on their opinion as to not bother the masters here, or hold them responsible if we don't win a contest they said to enter!). I love constructive critiques, but a quick yes I would enter, or no I would not enter, without an explanation would be valuable to me! Hint hint:)

Can anyone fill me in on "bump" Am I missing something?
