Oddly, this one never made the queue. It's in now. Sorry for the delay.

Bazinga!! (I don't watch the show - am I using that in the right context?)

Awesome! Break out the lensbaby and the Saran wrap...

I've been waiting for something like this to come around. I think I have just the right thing...

Shame that part didn't make the description. Set your liquefy filter to stun.

I like it.
It would be nice to add to the rule set that you have to put either a photo or description of the technique and/or device used for the challenge shot with each entry, so we can all share the know-how.

Aren't we ok in that the Advanced rulest already states

You may:
-use software to correct perspective, lens defects, or minor misalignments.

BUT

You may not:
-use distortions to create new effects or radically alter objects.

I would read this as only the very slightest use of liquify is EVER legal in Advanced

Hopefully our dear SC will police this effectively this time.

That's correct. It's really not an issue because any use of filters aggressive enough to score well in this challenge would end up getting DQ'd under the advanced rules.

I'm not sure how to take your reference to SC effectiveness. I'd like to think we "police effectively" all the time. But we have no way of knowing whether a distortion was applied in post processing, basically, unless we call for an original, and we certainly won't do that on every entry, so... It's sort of an honor system. For sure the top 5 will get vetted thoroughly, as always.

Totally meant in the best positive sense :)

So while pp distortion is a no go this time, what about an iphone/ipad app that applies distortion in real time BEFORE the photo is actually taken? Like a "photobooth" or "funhouse" real time effect?

Nice to be able to do fish eye, etc., for those of us who do not have those lenses.
