Hey all, I can't help but notice that in the last 2 days or so my 'framing' pic has started to go up, not by alot just some tenths, but I was wondering how many people go back and change their vote?

what is your main reason for re-voting? do you usually go higher or lower?

I tend to go through quickly and place photos as 4, 5, or 6, and then go back more carefully to move them up or down from there. |

The first pass through is influenced (even though I try not to be) by the images that happen to be shown before it; by going back and readjusting I am able to view the image again on its own merit.
Also, this is a contest, so I also do some adjusting of the 'goodness' of an image relative to the images I have placed at that score and those above and below it by one point.

Doesn't everybody at least take a quick look at the summary page after they have finished voting and adjust a few up or down? |

More than a few usually.
I like to go through on the first day of the challenge as people are anxiously waiting for those first few scores and give everyone a one just to make them panic and start those voting nazi threads. Then I'll go back a few days later and give them the real score.

I do. I also comment on some pics after I've rated them. I usually review the scores after I've done them all. Mainly I go up, but sometimes they go down. |

I have a pretty slow dial-up connection, so I often struggle to get through all the entries even once in a week. This means that I very rarely have a chance to adjust any of the scores - only if the challenges for a week have an abnormally low number of entries.

Every now and then, I adjust my rating of (a) particular image(s) favourably to reward an off-beat manner, a bold exploration, a frankness or a subtle finesse.
It has also happened that I added a point to my score of an entry for no other reason but to increase the distance between a capable image and an excellent one.
