Wondering if graphics acceleration will make much difference worth the investment?
Right now my computer has a pretty basic Nvidia GTS 250 video card. Suspect, i'm using more CPU than graphics card for processing.
Anyone know if I upgrade the card I will see much performance increase? Only time I see some lag is using some Nik filters, otherwise comp run smooth and quick.
Current Rig
Phenom X4 running at 3.2Ghz. Can overclock to 4.0 stable, but prefer not to.

One thing you can check is how Ps preferences are set for using the GPU. Under Edit>Preferences>Performance, click the Advanced Settings button and check which drawing mode is chosen. The three choices are Advanced, Normal, and Basic. Advanced uses the GPU the most, Basic the least. If Advanced or Normal makes things operate less smoothly, use Basic. If only Basic works for you, it might be time to consider an upgrade to graphics.

Depending on the utilization, the programs might not take advantage of the graphic card.
For LR and PS are more demanding in the processor, but with Premiere you might have and advantage of a good GPU, thou if the computing power of the cpu isn't there, no big difference will be noticed IMO.
