Tell me where in the challenge title does it say anything about there having to be a story or some reason why the person is smiling?

... and where does it say that it needs to be "candid photography".

Here's the challenge description:
"From the grin to the laughing smile, a smile is one emotion that photographers have sought to capture since the early days of photography. Playing to the phrase "smile for the camera", take a picture of a person or persons that best captures this emotion."
