I played it safe in a way. I was at BestBuy and I saw that Adobe has a yearly license. It's called Adobe Photoshop CC 12-month prepaid membership. For at least this year until I get my taxes done, I figured I get it and I have been happy so far. The only drawback is that you have to use it at least once a month and log in with your adobe sign in also once a month. If not then here is the suckie part about it, you are locked out.

At least this way, Adobe doesn't have my credit card info since I got it with my BestBuy card.

but this comes out to be $20/month, isn't this the other price structure adobe has?

I tried CC yesterday with my CS3 key and it says I am not qualify, no other reason, why is that? I bought CS3 about 2 years back I guess.

Did you register CS3 after you bought it?

I am not able to recall. if that is the case does this mean I am not eligible because I didn't register? what if I call 800 number talk someone?

If you didn't register it then, you won't have much luck now, I don't think. Too easy to have someone give you an old CS3 you didn't even buy into yourself, to get the deal. I know that to get the deal myself I had to take them to my Adobe Customer Account, which verified for them I was a bona-fide user because it showed my registered Adobe products.

I got the point that you are making and it does make sense to me! Thanks!
