same old story again as always...started at 6.9 after 4 votes and now at 10 votes it's 5.2 and dropping.
I am growing extremely weary of this trend and am having thoughts of quitting DPC and photography completely and permanently.
This happens all the time now and makes it less and less of a fun thing to enter images with this kind of voting. i't's de-motivating to say the least. :( |

Doing better than most of my recent efforts. Still plenty of opportunity to drop into the low 5's, however.

Consider that those first few votes are not representative of reality. Discard
them. Now you have no drop. Carry on. |

First vote I received last night was a 4. Thought it was going to be a long night and week.
I woke up to this
Votes. 19
Views. 38
Score. 6.6842
I was here a few weeks ago witha higher score and dropped over 1.1 total points.
Will see if it lasts.

dropped .6 in 3 votes, and that was at 15 votes, but it was because of a single troll vote of 1.
One vote can skew things badly in the beginning -- either high or low. You just have to wait and see what pans out as the votes go on. Things don't really settle in until around 40, and then they can still make major changes!

That's easy. Go out and poll 10 random people to see how much they like X sports team. You will get a wide variety of responses.
It's all personal taste. |
