Please take a look at this photo taken today as original, edited, and black and white.

This is only the second time I have done anything with PS Elements. I am verrry green, and would like any critisism or suggestions anyone would like to offer. It is also fun to see what you think of the photo overall.

Thanks.

I like #2, you seem to have brought out more color which is good.

I guess I'm no original here. Definately #2.
Great colors, great view!

Nice composition, decent colours, could benefit from using a polariser to bring out the blues in the sky a little more.
I don't know about elements but does it have perspective correction ?
If so it could just straighten this up dandy.Just my opinion of course,
Overall a very nice picture.

Paul.
edit: I agree, 2 is the best.

I like the B&W Best.....it lets you follow the structure of the dam better. The green from the colour photos stopped me from seeing across the whole pic.

Just to be different.....

You've done a great job with the tones and colors. I think it could use a little sharpening. For this photo overall (at this resolution), I'd use Unsharp Mask (Filter->Sharpen->Unsharp Mask) with an amount of 60-80%, radius of .5 or .6, and threshold of 0 or 1 to help bring some of the details out. But to really bring out the texture of the building, try selecting it, reducing the selection by a pixel (Select->Modify->Contract), and use Unsharp Mask with a somewhat larger radius.

I like the BW version for the same reason as DarkRider, although it needs sharpening as well.
