I just got the link from JASC to download the beta version and was wondering if anyone has tried it yet. Is it as slow as 8 or is it quick like 7?

I have, it loads slower than 8, but otherwise seems about the same (but I didn't have any issues with 8 as far as speed goes). It looks nice, it has a digital noise remover filter (which I haven't tried), it allows selective undo of steps in history (I LOVE this), it supports RAW images (haven't tried that either), and it doesn't strip EXIF data anymore (also nice).
This is just the beta release. I like JASC products, so for myself, I'll upgrade to 9 when the final release comes out.

I just tried it out. I'm not sure I like how the text works on 9 but it is much better than 8. I have stayed with PSP 7 simply cause 8 was just to slow at opening files. So far 9 seems pretty good if I can just figure out how to change fonts.
