At first you can't tell, but then you realize they like each other. Quite amazing. |

No sound here so whatever music it was was not distracting. The video was interesting...yes, interesting. |

oh wow!! That was amazing! Completely and totally made my day, just the sheer happiness of friends playing. So awesome.

Finally got around to watching the video. Very cool and good to see two predators having fun and not shredding each other to pieces!
But as the owl is wearing jesses on its legs, it clearly is a tame bird belonging to a falconer (owler?), probably hatched in captivity and hand-raised. Most of the time the cat is jumping for the dangling jesses when the bird's in flight. Clearly they were raised together, they are playing and engaging in grooming behaviour.
Now, if it had been a completely wild barn owl playing happily with a cat, that would be a different story altogether. |
