I downloaded the network version and installed it at home. It is a larger single download, but I didn't want to have to download the same file seperately from the Windows Update site for each system in my house. :(

Downloaded and installed when first available. Everything works fine. Norton anti-virus is fine. Black Ice fire wall is fine (I disabled Windows firewall). So far not any software issues. My system is a 3 year old Dell with reasonable current software.

This is an old thread, but...what's the concensus?

Did most of you end up installing SP2? Should I do so?

"Never change a running system."

I installed it in Nov last year and had no problems

No problems here either. Most notably Photoshop CS and all of my other imaging stuff is OK.

I disagree with an earlier comment that you should "Never change a running system". The old "If it ain't broke don't fix it" adage does not jive well with any system that requires periodic security patches, whether it be Windows, Linux, etc.

I de-installed it on my laptop because it screwed up the network.
On my normal pc it runs fine now.

Still running with no issues. Actually, if it wasn't for the security notices asking if I want to run unsigned content on some websites, I would never have known there was any change.

I'd suggest peeps install it, I've had no problems and it will automatically create a restore point (just remember the date).

SP2 automatically installed on our networked notebook, and the wireless quit working. Had to uninstall SP2, wireless was fine after that. Did this occur because it was a "single user" version???
