For the last 3+ months I have limited myself to using only my iPhone for my source of photographs. The convenience was what I was looking for. I had lost my passion for a while. Life became hectic, we became overly busy, I had a mental breakdown and was simply unable to channel my energy.

Just the other day I had this urge to shoot.
For the last few days I've taken pictures here and there. And my passion was renewed today! I remembered just how much I missed it. I remembered how much it helped me, I was able to have "me" time behind my lens. I saw the world a different way again.

After getting home today, I transferred the pics to my computer. My oldest son said to me (while looking through some of the photos) "that looks like one of those professional cameras took the pictures". Now I know the pictures I took were nowhere near a professional level. However, his statement gave me a sense of achievement. It felt wonderful. :)

So I decided I am going to start entering challenges again. Granted, I have to get back into the swing of things... and the highest score I have ever had so far is a 5.9something. Still haven't reached a 6. BUT... I will. :) And I have already voted on all the current challenges (I'll end up going back and making some adjustments, as I usually do).

Just wanted to share with you all. Look forward to meeting all the new members and catching up with the ones I already know. :)
Missed you guys!!!

Score is meaningless. Passion for the art(s) is priceless.

Welcome back.

(And in no way do I mean this pain in the backside!)

Denielle, we have missed you too. It is great that you are back. It is great that you have reached a milestone where it is possible to be back. I'm looking forward to seeing your pics.

Thanks guys!
And score isn't everything, trust me, I know! Lol
But, it is a goal.
At the end of the day, however, I shoot what I like and what's meaningful to me. What interests me. And if other people don't see my vision, well, then so be it. :)

Judging by my current score, I'm back to normal. Lol

Real nice to see you back Denielle it seems so long.
Good to hear you are back in the swing.
I will follow you with interest as always.

Score don't matter but good luck all the same.

Thanks. And it has been a long time. Just looks back at my last challenge, it's been over 6 months since I last entered!!! Crazy.
But, I have lots of ideas and plenty of locations I'd like to visit. Plus, I'm hoping to get a beautiful shot in this evening.
Thanks again!

Just put a "placeholder" in the Free Study! Super excited.
Unless I shoot something better between now and the deadline, I will just use it. I'm actually very satisfied with the results.
Still working on my editing skills, but the outcome is pretty close to what I was looking for.
I may try editing some more, or a few different ways... but I'm liking the current entry. Now I'm ready for it to be the end of the month! lol
