Okay. I started this string but I guess I really should have done some research first. I still do think Spell Check would be a great benefit to this site but I also understand that not everyone feels the same. That's what makes this site such a great place. You don't have to agree and no one holds it against you.

For those of you that said they would benefit from a spell check tool, you may want to evaluate an excellent program I have found called "SpellCheckAnywhere 2.0". This program allows you to F11 in any windows application and it will perform a spell check and offer suggestions for those words you have spelled wrong. Excellent application. Even works on the forums on this site and for the comments boxes on this site. :-) Just what I was looking for. I unfortunatly can not use the tool right now for this message because I am posting from my work machine but it works excellent on my laptop which I have installed it on. :-) The program does have a purchase price after the evaluation of $29.97. Doesn't seem to bad since it will check spelling in any windows program (including notepad).

Click Here To Read About and Download The Evaluation Copy of SpellCheckAnywhere 2.0.

I hope some have found this information helpful and sorry to have started any kind of debate. Thanks to everyone! I value everyone oppinion!

Thanks!

Bill, that really does sound appealing. My only apprehension is that I operate the F11 key regularly, and specifically with the DPC site, to toggle my MS IE 6.0 between normal view and full screen view. As I am older with poor eyesight (early cataracts), I enjoy viewing images as large as I can in order to obtain the best outcome for judging. Can this spell checker be mapped to any other key other than F11? Cheers, Michael

Michael:

I do also. I also thought about that as a togal key between full screen and restore on the IE window. From the experience I have had, as long as you don't have your cusor focus in a text box area, the togle will till function the same as it does now. :-)

Well Bill, I purchased your suggested spell checker and so far, it appears to work fine. As part of the software download process I learned that I can re-map the F11 launch key command. In contrast to your previous comment, the spell checker program is launching from anywhere on my screen and not just when the cursor is over the textbox. The full screen command is now only accessible from the I.E. pull-down menus. Which is fine if I do not desire to re-map the function keys. Thank You, Michael

Great! I'm glad the start of this thread wasn't in vain then. :-) Glad it was helpful.

Happy Shooting!
