Capture a portrait, and create a diptych of an unedited version next to the edited version. Advanced editing with special rule.

Very nice idea!

Should the voters judge the portrait, the editing or both?

I like this idea very much as well.

Good one...

Question, would/should cropping be permitted on the unedited photo?

I'm not sure. Offhand, I'd say yes, so we can more clearly match up the edits. If it's originally a very wide shot, and the edit is a cropped version, we might not see some of the work. On the other hand, cropping IS an editing choice, so I guess either way. Actually, the more I type, the more I think the original should the sooc.

I think this would be an excellent challenge. I'd love to see how much of a part PP plays in the challenge entries I like best.

My non challenge entry with the most faves is a side by side after/before portrait. I like before and after images. I will post this one up now so that it can still be linked to after my membership expires next week.

Thanks for this, Timfy. This is great. Sorry to learn you will be letting your membership lapse.

So is this the same as the current challenge, seems different to me, or is there another thread about it' Point of View Diptych' ·

Different. This would be the exact same image, both straight out of camera and after editing.
