Opinions please ... A challenge too late, this was the models first ever shoot. I had planned to do the shoot in time for the nudeII challenge but I had to work away and missed out.

Taken with a Nikkor AF 85mm-1:1.8D, no flash (edit)

I think you'd have been disappointed with the result, myself.

I've no great interest in nude photography, in fact can think of only two shots I've ever seen that I'd particularly want to see again. So I will only make technical comments: it could be brightened by around 60 points without losing any detail, and then you could have put back the black point to really give some sense of tonality across the image. Even if you wanted it to be a very low-key image, having your white point set to little more than 50% luminosity is limiting your range at best. The selective de-sat serves to point up an element which is not a strong subject in the image, and creates a conflict of suggestion - are you compensating for missing something? Was the single item of clothing intended to be significant? If so, why place it half out of frame? The use of the diagonal, compositionally, is effective though, and she seems to have a pretty natural and relaxed look, which I guess is good.

Those, at least, are my opinions.

I do a lot of nude imagery, I think the subject matter is great, composition is also very good and technically the shot is up there.

as for editing, I think keeping color on the undies as been done...and done some more. I think also the image needed a bit of love with the levels and the contrasts.

I would have given this image a 8 -1 for the use of color, - 1 for a lack of contrast/black point
