I've been feeling burnt out lately. Been back in college about two weeks and just haven't felt any sort of inspiration. Moving from Colorado to North Dakota (also known as the most pathetic excuse for a decent place to live that exists anywhere on planet Earth) does that I guess. I don't mind the university and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't having a good time, but I'd definetly be somewhere warmer/more scenic if I wasn't getting a scholarship here.

Anyhow, I plan to figure out something for backlighting. For the current member challenge... I don't think too many people are interested in corn fields and.. um.. wheat fields?... so a travel guide entry from me seems unlikely at this point.

So far, my photographic pursuits here at college have been of my two loves in life:

Beer (more specifically Corona)

and Cigarettes

er.. Actually, I don't smoke cigarettes but it sounded good eh? I was trying some "different" lighting techniques on the two photos, what do you think?

I bought "Camera Raw With Adobe Photoshop CS" the other day with some extra financial aid money, hopefully it'll prove to be helpful. Tomorrow (well... today) I am gonna try getting my lazy ass up and doing some infrared photography and maybe taking some inspiration from Kylie and doing some arcitecturial shots from some of the college buildings here.

I love the picture of the corona bottle...along with the cigarettes, but I smoke, so I'm a little biased. lol. College...ugh. I know how it feels to be bummed out in college. I am planning to go back next semester. Screw the people who make your life crappy. Do what you enjoy and keep taking pictures. Good luck this semester, hope it gets better for you soon.

I can relate to your lack of inspiration in the places you find yourself in - I am really trying to get more creative in how I see mine! Your shots are looking fantastic. I am terrible with lighting and can really learn a lot from you. Good luck in college, also. And thank you so much for the nice comment!
