I have a family member who just got a sony camera and is having trouble with downloading the first time was wondering if anyone knows of a tutorial site or can offer some help using pixela. Unfortantely, I am to far away to see his screen and haven't been able to find any tutorials for pixela. Can anyone offer a little help as to what he needs to do.

Forgot to mention yes the software is loaded into the pc, the drivers are installed I just can't see the screen to talk him through what to do. And he can't find the manual for it to figure it out.

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. I found a few articles on the Pixela software. One of which states that it has severe problems. PROBLEMS But doesn't really say what to do about it.
There is a website HERE That has some contact info regarding problems with the software. And also has FAQ section for different Manufacturers. (JVC, Sony, and KYOCERA).
Hope this helps. The other things I found relating to this software were basically just questions with no answers. Sounds like it's not a very reliable program, even if you can get it working.
Good luck.

If you go to Netopia.com and each download/install Timbuktu Pro (30-day free evaluation) you will be able to observe or even control his computer from your's over the internet.
The link is to the Windows version, but it works fine on Macs as well.

GeneralE,
You are without question the most eclectic individual I've had the pleasure of knowing. It's good to see you here Brother, Thanks for all the help.

Gotcha,
Thanks...that's that the "E" stands for. The tagline's an occasional feature I want to print on some T-shirts.
Glad you're still dropping by here...seems like you were away for a while.
