Our Canon G2's front lens barrel and the associated lens seem loose - this is, they can be moved slightly relative to the inside barrel. Had it checked at a local camera repair store - told there's nothing he could do, as the whole lens assembly is basically in one piece. Another G2 he had in for another repair - it too had the shaky front lens barrel. Any other G2 owners out there whose cameras are like this?
It doesn't seem to affect pix quality at all - everything's nice and sharp, so our inclination is to keep using it if it gets no worse. Any opinions on this?
Thanks.

Mines not loose at all. In fact, mines stuck in now and won't extend :(
Actually, it will move ever so slightly, if that's what you move. I wouldn't call it shaky. About 1/16 or 1/32 of an inch I'd say in any direction.

I have a G2 and when the lens is extended (camera is on) the lens does move just a hair. I think it's probably normal. I wouldn't be to worried about it.
