seems like this should be allowed in advanced editing at least.

for those that dont have UWA or even a wide enough lens to capture the subject we ought to be allowed to stitch two images together provided they are a continuation of the same scene and same lighting conditions.

if we allow focus stacking and HDR, allow stitching too.

Yer preachin' to the choir, dude! I fought for this back when we implemented multiple source images in Advanced. Langdon did not want to go there at the time, thinking that we would run pano-specific challenges. That hasn't happened, so I do think we need to revisit the idea.

No.

I feel special with my collection of UWA lenses.

What cory said. Heck no. I'd lose all the extended value of my tilt/shit lens :-)

No, but for the reason I always like to disagree with Mike.

I'd be in favor of it as an occasional special rule. I do a lot of stitching these days. You get better detail than with WA lenses. It's particularly useful with specialty cameras with fixed lenses, like the Sigma DP2 Merrill that I have been using lately.

In all honesty, I would like a Brenizer method challenge.
