an interesting study just came out that summizes that when you attempt to rationalize why you like something you look for reasons that are easy to verbalize as opposed just choosing what you like the best.

| Hmmmm... interesting. For me personally, I suspect I score higher when I make an effort to leave more comments in voting. I am not sure if this is because it causes me to spend more time on some photos to study and analyze them and this helps me appreciate them more. Or, if this makes me more likely to bump up the scores rather than articulate to the photographers why I do not like them so much. |

The same situation happens to me as well. |

...and when people are asked to provide any form of justification for their decisions, they tend to analyze things more thoroughly which is interpreted as being more critical.
