before they judge the legality of my photo? it had a DQ request...

we try to get them validated within 48 hours. sometimes, with all the various schedules, it can take a bit, though.

The SC are currently voting on it. Since members of the SC are from many different time zones, we normally say around 48 hours is required for a shot to be validated. This is only a rough guide - it may be more, it may be less.

edit: beaten to it :P

but every SC gives their vote on it?

No, once there are a certain number of votes the decision is made. It just takes time sometimes for that number of votes to be made. It depends on the individual time schedules of SC members and can vary a bit.

well, we just got the original. Give it a few days. Everyone should remember to vote on all images as if they are legal, even if they request it to be reviewed, or they feel it is suspect. Just keep on voting like its legal and let the SC take care of the DQ part!

EDIT: I see my collegues got to this one as I was slowly composing my answer!
