I'm pretty excited because I just started today as video/photography for my universities football team. I'm mostly shooting pratice and game footage for the coaches and players to study. Unfortunately that is my main responsibility. However, they have encouraged me to take stills whenever I get a chance. I only had time for about 20 shots during today's practice. I was stuck on top of our stadium so the shots aren't the best but I thought I'd share. What you all think?

Adding two more.

Of course, taken from the same level as the players would have been ideal and it would have made these shots real winners in my eyes.

Given the vantage point, however, I think you did a great job!

Thanks. I really wanted to get down there and shoot some stills. I've been waiting for Football season to test out my 70-200 lens and they stick me up top. I'm going to try and get on the field for the next practice and game.

Nice work James. I really like the wide angle - really unique perspective.

As you mentioned, for the other shots you weren't in the best position. Even still the first and fourth look good.

If you're using quality glass I'd be tempted to crop tighter than you have on the second shot, although I think the composition is nice as is too.
