A few weeks ago Photoshop was giving me error messages in connection with my computer's video card drivers. Since I downloaded new drivers I've had a different problem. When I open a photo in Photoshop, it usually appears okay, but as soon as I change the display size to anything other than 100% all I can see on the screen is a blank image.

Is there something I can adjust to correct this problem or do I need to reinstall Photoshop?

Is Ps set to use your GPU for acceleration? If so, you might try disabling that and see whether the problem goes away. If it resolves the issue, then try using the most basic acceleration and see if that works. Acceleration options are under Edit> Preferences >Performance. You can turn acceleration off completely by unchecking the box in the Graphics Processor Settings area of this dialog. Under Advanced, you can set the level of acceleration. If you find that turning off acceleration solved the problem, try turning it back on but using the more basic level.

Thank you kirbic. It's working fine now. I'm so relieved that it was such a quick fix.

Well, so now the question is *why* acceleration doesn't work. I assume that it was working previously, correct? How long has CS5 been installed on the machine? Do you know exactly what graphics card is installed?

I'm not too worried about the 'why' because my computer is giving me problems generally and I will have to upgrade soon. As long as it's working for now, that is good enough for me.

Not half as glad as I am kirbic. Thanks again.
