On the other hand it is discouraging to know your photography is good, but to receive the collective opinion of "Not very good" or "Eh, it's ok, I guess.". This is where the problem is for me. |
You must be forgetting to add the 1.3-1.6 "DPC vote correcective factor" to your scores -- if you do that they will seem much more like what you'd expect from a poll of "normal" people ... ;-) |

Thanks. I'm disappointed in the performance, though it was expected based on past performance of a similar shot. I think it is WAY better than my entry in the "bikes" challenge, which pulled a top 10. I personally thought THAT one was a "good but not great" and lacking in some regards.

I don't know any of these Nor-Mal people you speak of. Everyone I socialize with is either a photo geek or a bike geek. Or both.

That's probably because, according to research conducted at MIT, foil hats are ineffective ... |

+1
And I stalk photo/bike geeks - there's a young lady here I know via her photography (professional) of local bike races. She got credentials for the Tour of California and is having the time of her life! She's also a racer, so she knows how to get "the" shot. And she got a picture today of her and Bobke. I am so jealous!
