While I agree that it would be mostly nice - here's a thought;

A strong image is still strong in thumbnail size. Details are just the icing on the cake.

I try not to let scrolling impact my score while voting, but the benefits of having a larger image are lost if the entire image doesn't fit on the screen. Sorry, but I am not going to buy a larger monitor just to vote on this site. And sometimes I vote on my laptop or tablet.

be careful what you wish for. a larger mosquito is not necessarily a better mosquito.
