I really hope I'm not crossing any privacy lines here (I will not talk about numbers until I know it's safe) but I am just wondering what kind of numbers you all are giving photos in the HOPE challenge.

Not hope but here is my average vote given all challenges.
Avg Vote Cast: 5.1640
I happy with that. I read somewhere that if it is lower then the average all voters for a challenge then you are voting to low.

9=14
8=19
7=35
Those are my highest. I vote on all pictures so I cover the whole range. |

My overall average given is 5.5597.
If a picture is not too good but on topic I tend to give it a 5 for effort.
4 or below are seldom given, only realy out of focus & or completely off topic.
On the other hand I very seldom gove 9 or 10. |

I thought this was a weaker challenge than "Vanishing POint" and some others. I gave about 20 votes that were 7 or higher. There were some absolutely excellent shots here though that were head and shoulders above the rest.
Average votes cast is 5.1 overall.

I gave a buttload of 6's, a bunch of 7's, some 8's, a few 9's, and one 10, because I made a promise in this thread, and I always keep my word(even if I did say j/k). My average would be around 6, just by the sheer number of them I handed out. Nobody got below a 5 from me, though.

| For one thing, i am working up my average vote cast average. I do not want to be guilty of receiving more than I get. So my lowest vote is 5 and 6 for the better shot. 7 is the outstanding shot. 8 reserved for those shots that jump out at you. 9 for the superb. |
