any other alternative for a canon flash diffuser?

Gary fong or reasonable facsimile...a lot of DIY types that will work

The fongs are hard to beat and just as hard to pack. Keep an Omnisoft or one of those collapsible mini softboxes in the bag for when you decide to keep the big dome at home. |

Personally, I like the OmniBounce. Its small, cheap and does one heck of a job bouncing light from every angle. I've tried some DIY diffusers, and the only other thing I found useful besides the omnibounce is a larger foam "card" held on with an elastic. Nice thing about that is you can get any color you want.

not exactly flash dome, but sort of a multi purpose system for that and similar applications would be "Spinlight 360 pro" I got it and get good utility out of its abilities.
