I have something that's a dark color of one color, I want to change it to a completely different color, much, much lighter, but still keep the same ahadows, etc that's on the dark thing.
Any tips on how to do this?
cs6 by the way...

can you just change the HSL?
create an adjustment layer, and then create a mask based on the color selection. that's how i would try it first.

Hmmm -- I think I found it. It's actually the first time that replace color has actually worked for me. I don't know what I've been doing wrong other times...

Could you show an example? my first instinct would be the "replace color" option in image --> adjustments - but i m not sure i grasp what you're looking to do exactly |
