I set my mark to choose to either vote on 100% or 0%, because 100% shows my complete verdict on all of the photos comparing to each other. Now I try to vote on every challenge. Often I vote first and then I get back later to reconsider the votes and comment on photos. I just finished voting on the last photos of hope last night and I am now going through both Nude II and Hope to add some comments.
The comments are what I think most of us appreciate the most on dpc. I don't have time commenting on every single photo in the challenges, but for the last challenges and the next to come I will try to comment on 7% or more of the photos, and not just the best photos. People don't have to be very good in photography to be able to leave a good comment. Often I think the one who adds a comment is learning more from it than the owner of the photo he's commenting on. No matter how you rate the photos, try leaving a comment on them, try to find out why you don't like the photos, why you think they're average or why you like them very much, that is the best way to learn more about photography and the best way to become a better photographer imo, no matter on what stage you are in photography.
Try to add a comment to more photos than you have already done before in average, check out the percentage of comments vs votes in your profile, and set your mark to comment more than that in future challenges, 1-5% more maybe. I am just under 5% and I set my mark to comment on at least 7% of future challenges. If more of us do something like this, I think more of us will become better in photography and more of us will enjoy this site even better when receiving more comments.
