| We'll be taking a road trip in mid-late and Holland, MI looks like an interesting side trip for a day (mostly because I want to go see the lighthouse). Is there much else to do there? Are the tulips still in bloom around May 24? Any other interesting places close by? |

Holland, Michigan is a very nice town. It's on the western side of Michigan on Lake Michigan. They have a very nice lighthouse there if you like that sort of thing. They call it Big Red.
This shot was unfortunately taken in the middle of the day in very harsh light.
There are also several lighthouses along the Lake Michigan coast in St Joseph, South Haven, Grand Haven, Ludington, Manistee and more. I have some portfolio shots titled Western Michigan, and Michigan mini GTG that has some of these shots in them.

| There's the lighthouse of course. May 24th is 2wk after the Tulip festival, there should still be a fair amount in bloom, but the festival is the "peak". You could tour the New Holland brewery and distillery, one of Michigan's top breweries. |
