I'm guessing it is for those who would like to add a poem or a quote to their photo. I think it is a nice touch in this particular case.

| i guess i missed the fact that it was a tribute, i was thinking more of the types of images that would make here smile and comment over a hallmark card. |

I think either is perfectly fine - no reason we have to include text - but the option is open and nice to have. |

| Also notice that this is a two week challenge - entries for Lucky 13 and a couple of other challenges will be due before the Shez Tribute entries. |

I have a lovely one taken just before she passed away. I had been tempted to enter it anyway just because it is so fitting... I doubt it would ribbon but just in case, I've decided not to violate the rules and probably won't enter. I don't have anything else worthy, unless I have time to go get more shots at that same location.
I didn't know Shez as I just started being active again on DPC, but just the same she seemed very talented, genuine, and well-liked. |

These challenges are not exclusive; you can enter both. |

Yes, me too - I left it until today. Hopefully it will get as many entries as the "flowers for Shez" challenge last year, but that would mean about 100 entries in the next 10 hrs and that seems unlikely. |
